Delete your Détour account
If you have a Détour account, you can request deletion of your account and associated account data at any time.
How to request deletion
You can request account deletion using one of the following methods:
1. In the Détour app
Open Détour, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. Follow the confirmation steps.
2. By email
Email support@joindetour.me from the email address linked to your Détour account.
Use the subject line:
Delete my account
In the message, include:
- the email address linked to your Détour account
- your display name, if available
- a short note saying you want your account deleted
What we delete
When your request is verified, we delete or de-identify account data associated with your Détour account, including:
- profile information
- photos and media you uploaded
- Vibes
- chat data associated with your account where deletion is technically and legally permitted
- account settings and identifiers
What may be retained
Some information may be retained for a limited period if required for:
- security
- fraud prevention
- legal compliance
- dispute resolution
- abuse prevention
- backup integrity
Timeline
We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
